IOWA CITY, IOWA (May 17, 2019) — Senator Kamala Harris will campaign in Western and Central Iowa May 23 and 24. On Thursday, May 23, she will hold events in Sioux City, including a public town hall. On Friday, May 24, she will campaign in Council Bluffs and Des Moines. This will be Sen Harris’ fourth trip to Iowa since announcing her candidacy for president of the United States.

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 17, 2019) — Iowa’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate remained at 2.4 percent in April. The state’s jobless rate was 2.6 percent one year ago. The US unemployment rate dropped to 3.6 percent in April.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (March 15, 2019) — Courage Ride, an annual charity bike-ride benefiting the University of Iowa’s sarcoma-cancer research, has announced it is moving this year’s start/finish venue from Iowa Mennonite School near Kalona to Big Grove Brewery and Taproom in Iowa City in an effort to attract more participants in the Corridor. The 2019 Courage Ride will be held August 17th and marks the 15th year for the event.
