Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue in North Dakota and Iowa

WASHINGTON DC (April 26, 2019) — Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will be in Iowa on Monday, April 29th for roundtable discussions, farms visits, and tours to highlight the importance of the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Tomorrow, Sec Perdue will visit Peterson Farms Seed and Emerging Prairie’s “Grand Farm Initiative” Farm. On Monday, Sec Perdue will be in Iowa to visit Vermeer Corporation and Corteva Agriscience Mendel Greenhouse.

Governor’s 2019 Future Ready Iowa Summit is Sold Out with More Than 1,000 Seats Reserved

This year’s summit is titled “STEM Education + Workplace Partnerships,” and it is hosted by the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council.

Late Surge Allows Clinton to Take Down Bandits 7-2 in Series-Opener

CLINTON, IOWA (April 25, 2019) — The Clinton LumberKings scored five runs over the final two-innings to turn a tie game into a series-opening 7-2 victory over the Quad Cities River Bandits on Thursday afternoon at Ashford University Field. The game was the final contest in a stretch of 19 consecutive games away from Modern Woodmen Park for the River Bandits to open the season.
