The TaxSlayer Center WILL RAISE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST

The TaxSlayer Center's annual Christmas tree is scheduled to arrive this Thursday, Nov. 1st at approximately 11:00 a.m. The tree is being donated by John Abbott of Milan and is a dedication to his mother Helen Abbott who passed in 2012. The tree is approximately 30 - 35' tall.  Media is invited and encouraged to attend as the tree is raised.

Polar Express Pajama Parties to bring holiday cheer to the Putnam starting Dec. 13

A beloved Quad-Cities’ family tradition for more than ten years, the Polar Express Pajama Parties kick off Thursday, Dec. 13, with four action-packed days of holiday fun and the timeless holiday movie at the Putnam Museum & Science Center!

This year, the Putnam has scheduled 10 showings of 'The Polar Express 3D' — the visually stunning holiday classic, which will be brought to life on the GIANT Screen, towering six stories tall.

Making a Tot’s Day – Ascentra Credit Union is Partnering with Holiday Network

Every holiday season, Toys for Tots donation boxes fill each of Ascentra Credit Union’s branches from Muscatine, Iowa to the Quad Cities and up to Clinton, Iowa.  It is a tradition at the credit union that has led their staff to support the organization by raising additional funds through organizing a bake sale and donating $5 to dress Casual for a Cause, then using the proceeds to go on a toy shopping spree.

Fitzgerald reminds Iowans to explore IAble accounts as a way for people living with disabilities to save for disability-related expenses and achieve a better life experience. Signed into Iowa law in 2015, IAble allows families the opportunity to plan for the future financial well-being of a loved one with a disability on a tax-deferred basis, without the individual losing eligibility for certain assistance programs, such as SSI or Medicaid.
