Rain this past week, combined with more in the forecast, has resulted in changes to the projected crest of the Mississippi. The river is now forecast to crest at 16.8 FT on Thursday, October 11.  River levels are expected to hover around 16.5 FT to 16.7 FT most of the week.

The current river level is 16.11 FT.

Based on the current and projected river levels, the following flood impacts and measures have been or will occur in the coming days.

Progressive Action for the Common Good and Sierra Club Eagle View Group will present a conference, "Renewable Energy: Greener Earth = Green in Your Pocket" on Friday, November 9, 2018, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Quad City Botanical Center, 2525 4th Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois.

DAVENPORT, IA – October 2018 –Gilda’s Club is excited to announce its 20th Annual Noogiefest event to be held on Saturday, October 20th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport).

State earns perfect score 100/100; Tennessee second with 79/100 for a ‘C’

 SPRINGFIELD – Illinois has earned sole recognition for the strongest mental health parity laws and policies in the country, according to new state report cards released this week. 

Active weather has changed projected and actual river levels.  The Mississippi is now forecast to crest at 15.9 FT on Tuesday, October 9.  River levels are expected to hover between 15 and 15.9 FT before beginning to fall below 15 FT late next week.

The current river level is 15.12 FT.

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds ordered all flags in Iowa to fly at half-staff from sunrise on Oct. 6 to sunset on Oct. 7, 2018. Flags will fly at half-staff Saturday, Oct. 6, to honor a fallen soldier and Sunday, Oct. 7, for the Fallen Firefighters Memorial service.
