A: Recently Barbara and I attended our granddaughter’s graduation from the University of Northern Iowa, our alma mater. Iowa is home to many outstanding colleges that provide higher education and technical training to the next generation. Preparing students to join the workforce, from the trades, to STEM and other academic pursuits, starts early in the classroom.

BATON ROUGE, LA (05/09/2018)-- The following local residents were recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Julia Field of Bettendorf (52722) was initiated at Elon University.

Erin Mercer of Bettendorf (52722) was initiated at Missouri State University.

SCOTT COUNTY, IA — Tell us how we are doing! The Waste Commission of Scott County and Personal Marketing Research will conduct a follow up survey on recycling in the coming weeks.  400 Residents of Scott County will be contacted by phone to participate in a brief recycling survey. This is a follow up to a recycling survey that was completed in May 2013.
