Des Moines, Iowa (November 15, 2017) - More than 200 delegates from the Iowa Association of School Board's (IASB) member school districts and area education agencies (AEAs) gathered at the annual Delegate Assembly on Nov. 15 to conduct the annual meeting and determine the platform for the 2018 legislative session. Each board appoints one board member as delegate to represent their organization's views. 

Federal grant of $1.2 million to fund 26-mile trail system at wildlife area near Harrisburg

CARRIER MILLS (Nov. 15, 2017) — A new project will make southern Illinois a destination for off-road riders, Gov. Rauner said while announcing development of a 26-mile off-highway vehicle trail system at Sahara Woods State Fish and Wildlife Area.

JOHNSTON, Iowa - November 14, 2017 - The Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) thanks Governor Reynolds for extending the proclamation until December 1, 2017 granting a temporary weight limit exemption for trucks on Iowa roads.

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation Monday extending the transportation of overweight loads of corn, soybeans, haw, straw, silage and stover. The proclamation will expire Dec. 1, 2017.

This proclamation allows vehicles transporting corn, soybeans, hay, straw, silage and stover to be overweight (not exceeding 90,000 pounds gross weight) without a permit, but only for the duration of this proclamation.
