IOWA (KWQC)- Aldermen, Mayor Klipsch, Police Chiefs, Juvenile Justice Leaders and more are all coming together to help change the Juvenile Justice System in Iowa.

"We are looking for the legislature to come together to make some changes in juvenile laws," Scott County Sheriff Tim Lane says.

Those changes include harsher penalties for kids who steal cars.

After a few more meetings, the bill will be drafted by State Senator Roby Smith (R) 47th Dist.

Thanks to a generous estate donation, the Friends of the Davenport Public Library are able to offer a large, unique collection of books for sale. This special event will take place on Friday, November 17 from noon to 5pm and Saturday, November 18 from 9am to noon and will be held at Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue).

SAVANNA… Legislation to provide an income tax credit to flood victims received the approval of the Illinois House of Representatives and State Senate this week and now heads to the Governor's desk for final consideration, according to State Representative McCombie (IL-71), co-sponsor of the bill.

APPLETON, WIS. (November 10, 2017) - Nick Fahrenkrug, son of Thomas and Theresa Fahrenkrug, Davenport, earned first-place honors in the sophomore's men division at the recent (Nov. 2-4) Wisconsin chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition. He received $150 for his first-place finish. A sophomore at Lawrence University, Fahrenkrug is a 2016 graduate of Central High School.
