CHICAGO (Nov. 29, 2017) — Today the State of Illinois priced $750 million in new money General Obligation bonds for 2018 capital expenditures. Bond proceeds will be used to fund major capital construction projects and finance information technology projects. 

The General Obligation bonds were priced competitively in two separate bids:

The Mississippi Valley Blues Society and the River Music Experience are co-sponsoring the Quad Cities' final performance of Bob Dorr & the Blue Band. Ending a 36 year career performing the blues for thousands of enthusiastic fans, Bob Door has announced a conclusion of the band's tour schedule.

The public is invited to tour the historic Hauberg Mansion, during its 50th annual "Winter in Bloom" holiday open house. Volunteers have played a huge part this year in preparing the mansion for the holiday season and each room has been beautifully decorated. New activities have been added to the event, including a photo booth room and free horse and carriage rides (1-5pm, with sign up for spaces starting at 12:30).

SILVIS, Ill. – Nov. 28, 2017 – The GMC Silvis Smile Illini Committee is sponsoring the Tree of Love in memory of someone special in our lives.
