Local designers will compete Tuesday for Hy-Vee’s top cake designer title

DAVENPORT, Iowa (Sept. 7, 2017) — Hy-Vee’s most creative cake designers from the Quad Cities area will compete Tuesday in front of spectators at NorthPark Mall in Davenport during the semifinal of Hy-Vee’s Extreme Cake Challenge. Grassroots Campaign for Governor Announces Additional Endorsements of Iowa Activists and Advocates

Des Moines, IA – Andy McGuire announced today additional endorsements from key Democratic activists and leaders across the state.

(DES MOINES) – Iowa Department of Education Director Ryan Wise has been named the National Association of State Boards of Education’s (NASBE) 2017 Policy Leader of the Year. The award is given annually to a national or state policymaker in recognition of their contributions to education. Last year’s recipient was Delaware governor Jack Markell.

Des Moines, September 7, 2017—  The Iowa Judicial Branch will join the Iowa Department of Education and The Iowa State Bar Association to present a Constitution Day program for Iowa high school students on Wednesday, September 20. Students will attend the oral arguments in Des Moines and students from around the state will be encouraged to watch the live streaming of two Iowa Supreme Court oral arguments. Both cases involve constitutional issues.
