WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 18, 2025) — The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) has awarded 106 scholarships to Iowa high-school seniors and college students who are continuing their education in agriculture-related fields. This includes 27 first-time recipients and 76 students who had their IFBF scholarships renewed for 2025.

The 24-hour giving campaign for Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences took place from noon-to-noon April 16-17, and the campus was buzzing with excitement.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 17, 2025) — Governor Kim Reynolds has released the following statement in response to the Iowa House and Senate passing SF 619, a bill to exempt disaster assistance payments from state taxes, fill disaster-relief funds, provide fraud protections for home-owners in the insurance-claims process, and better prepare Iowa for future natural disasters:

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (April 17, 2025) — Since 2021, twelve states have authorized Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) as universal or near-universal vouchers to cover either tuition at minimally-regulated private schools or pods (mini-schools with children of like-minded parents); or costs associated with homeschooling, from books and online curricula to field trips and ancillary goods and services deemed essential. These ESAs make nearly all students eligible, regardless of family income.
