Chicago - Daniel Biss pledged on Tuesday to appoint a cabinet reflecting our state’s diversity and including a majority of women as members. The pledge comes days after Women's Equality Day, when over 100 elected officials, community organizers, and other Illinoisans declared themselves Women for Biss on social media.

Des Moines, August 29, 2017— On Tuesday, September 19, the Iowa Supreme Court will hear oral arguments at the Des Moines Hoover High School auditorium, 4800 Aurora Avenue. The oral arguments are open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m.

The court will hear attorneys argue the case of State of Iowa v. Bion Blake Ingram, from Jasper County.

DAVENPORT, IA - On August 29, 2017, Leroy Lynell Grandberry, 30, of Davenport, Iowa, was sentenced by Chief United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey to 36 months in prison for felon in possession of a firearm, announced United States Attorney Kevin E. VanderSchel. Grandberry was ordered to serve three years of supervised release following his imprisonment and to pay $100 to the Crime Victims’ Fund.
