Gov. Reynolds issues statement after meeting with EPA administrator

Kim Reynolds issued a statement Tuesday morning after meeting with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt and attending a roundtable discussion about the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule with the administrator, other elected officials and Iowa farmers.

Former state legislator named Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative Affairs

CHICAGO (Aug. 7, 2017) – Gov. Bruce Rauner has named former state Rep. Darlene Senger as Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative Affairs. Senger will work to coordinate agency legislative liaisons and advise on legislative affairs that are in the best interests of Illinois residents.

Illinois legislators are looking forward to working with Senger again, focusing on legislative reforms to make the state a better place to live.

Persisting Gaps in Cancer Care Negatively Impact Patient Outcomes

PHILADELPHIA, PA – August 2017 – The Cancer Support Community (CSC), an international nonprofit organization, released a research report that found the scarcity of communication between patients and their care team about cost-of-care resulted in financial toxicity for patients living with cancer. In addition, nearly half (47 percent) of patients are identified as at risk for clinically significant levels of depression. Key findings from the report:
