Celebrate the 4th and help feed the hungry by bringing donations of nonperishable food items to the annual Bettendorf parade and festival. Volunteers and staff at Churches United of the Quad City Area will be accepting donations along the parade route and during the festival under our tent located at Spruce Hills Drive and Middle Road. All food collected will go directly to the 26 food pantries and 3 hot meal sites operated by Churches United in the Quad Cities.

7 Step Fall Challenge Helps Decrease Risks

  WASHINGTON — About a third of people who are 65 years of age and older will be involved in an accidental fall this year that diminishes their quality of life.  That number increases the older a person gets.  

WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley today made the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would review lower court decisions blocking portions of President Trump’s executive order temporarily pausing admission of refugees and halting visas issued to certain nations known to harbor terrorists.  In the meantime, the Court will allow much of the executive order to take effect.
