SPRINGFIELD, IL (06/14/2017) (readMedia)-- Approximately 10 Illinois Army National Guard Soldiers who served in Afghanistan returned earlier this month and were reunited with their families.

The Illinois Army National Guard Soldiers who were part of the Bilateral Embedded Support Team-Afghanistan (BEST-A18) mobilized in November. These Soldiers deployed to Afghanistan with the Polish Land Forces in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel as members of Operation Resolute Support.

Recently, I was back on the road, traveling around the state and meeting with folks to hear about what is going on in their area. While there are many issues that Congress should be working hard in Washington to address, like fixing healthcare, growing our economy and creating jobs, I am always glad to spend time back home, working in Iowa. I am proud to have held over 150 meetings, roundtables, tours and constituent coffees so far this year.

The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) National Organic Program (NOP) protects the integrity of the USDA organic label and supports fair competition by overseeing the organic market and taking enforcement actions (called adverse actions) when violations are found.

The NOP is changing how we post enforcement actions. The new approach expands the types of notices we post and makes postings more frequent.
