Starting Wednesday, April 19th traffic on East Locust Street at and near College Avenue will be reduced down to one lane in each direction in order for contractors to perform sewer line repairs.

Repairs and lane reductions are expected through Wednesday, April 26th. To avoid traffic delays please use another route if possible and as always, use caution when driving through construction areas.

Rodrigo Ayarza's two home runs not enough in 8-4 loss to Cougars

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Marcus Wilson powered the Kane County Cougars to an 8-4 win over the Quad Cities River Bandits at Modern Woodmen Park on Saturday to take two of three in the series. Wilson spanked two home runs and drove in six of the eight Cougars runs. Edgardo Sandoval took the loss for Quad Cities, surrendering five runs on six hits in a starting role.

DAVENPORT, IA - On April 13, 2017, Agron Mitchell Simpson, age 40, of Davenport, Iowa, was sentenced by Chief United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey to 88 months in prison for conspiracy to misuse stolen credit cards, transportation of stolen credit cards, and for violation of his supervised release term from an earlier drug conviction, announced United States Attorney Kevin E. VanderSchel.

Jarvey to 70 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, announced United States Attorney Kevin E. VanderSchel. Motz also will be required to serve three years of supervised release following his imprisonment.
DAVENPORT, IA - On April 13, 2017, Damarcis Latrell March, Jr., age 20, of Davenport, Iowa, was sentenced by Chief United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey to 45 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, announced United States Attorney Kevin E. VanderSchel. This term of imprisonment will run consecutively to the sentence imposed in Rock Island County for armed robbery.
