Strong pitching of Carson LaRue leads Bandits to win Thursday night

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The River Bandits won their fourth straight game defeating the Clinton LumberKings 8-2 on Thursday night at Modern Woodmen Park. Starting pitcher Carson LaRue picked up his first win after working five innings and allowing one run. The Bandits offense was backed by home runs from Stephen Wrenn and Jake Rogers.

Red Cross urges blood and platelet donation during Trauma Awareness Month

MADISON, Wis. (April 20, 2017) — During Trauma Awareness Month in May, the American Red Cross urges eligible donors to help ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients with traumatic injuries and other serious medical needs by donating blood or platelets.

Road Involved: 52nd Avenue is OPEN between 310th Street and 50th Avenue

Date Opened: Friday, April 21, 2017

Description of Closure: The road was closed for a culvert replacement project over a Tributary to the Wapsipinicon River.  This project has been substantially completed and the road is open to traffic.

The Tuesday Toddler Tales story time at 30/31 Branch will be held as scheduled at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 25. The event is for ages birth to five, and includes stories, songs and activities about trees, in observance of Earth Day.
