WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (November 5, 2025) — Beginning today, Hy-Vee customers can help support their local food pantry by rounding up their purchases at check-out. Funds collected at each store will be directed weekly to a designated local pantry in each store’s community to help families in need.

Hy-Vee is increasing its support for community food pantries as these organizations are serving a record number of families.

WASHINGTON DC (November 3, 2025) — Undergraduate and graduate students studying American history can apply for a $25,000 scholarship from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) between November 1, 2025 and January 31, 2026. The DAR America 250! Scholarship will provide a one-time $25,000 award to ten students in 2026 and is offered to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of independence.

ADELPHI, MARYLAND (November 3, 2025) — Orcun Selmani of Moline, Illinois, has earned a(n) Associate of Arts from University of Maryland Global Campus in summer 2025.

Selmani was one of 3,800 students worldwide who earned degrees from UMGC in the summer 2025 term.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (November 3, 2025) — Applications for Quad Cities Community Foundation scholarships are now open for 2026. Thanks to generous donors, local students can apply for more than seventy scholarship opportunities totaling over $600,000.
