BETTENDORF, IOWA (July 5, 2023) — Every child deserves to start their school year off on the right foot. This means having the necessary supplies: Markers, notebooks, pens, and pencils, and, maybe most important of all, a backpack. Since 2006, the First Day Project: Quad City-Wide Student Supply Drive has been striving to make this a reality by supplying thousands of local students with the items they need to start the school year with confidence.

To commemorate this milestone, the Galvin Fine Arts Center at St Ambrose University (SAU) will be hosting a special film screening of Jesus Christ Superstar, followed by an exclusive meet-and-greet with Ted Neeley, the film’s lead actor.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (July 3, 2023) — The Independence Day holiday ushers in an era of independence from fines at the Moline Public Library. Beginning Wednesday, July 5, the Library will stop fining for most overdue items. By eliminating late fees, the Moline Public Library joins a larger movement among libraries to ensure free, inclusive, and equitable service for everyone.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (June 30, 2023) — One-hundred and fifteen Coe College students have been named to the Spring 2023 Dean's List.
