DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 21, 2023) — Holiday giving started early for CASI with a hugely-successful fundraising campaign. In October, a pre-event fundraiser called Pass the Hat spearheaded by Chair Gwen Tombergs and Board Member Decker Ploehn kickstarted the momentum by raising $40,000. The Hat Bash event on November 16, with over 400 attendees, rounded out the campaign bringing the total raised to over $150,000.

Monmouth music faculty member Tom Clark brought a bit of holiday cheer to last year's "Christmas at Monmouth" concert, and he'll once again be on the stage December 2, leading the College's vocal groups

“I told my wife, ‘I think I won $75 or $50. Do you want to check it?’” Rogelio Almanza said of his wife, Silva, on Thursday as he claimed his prize at the lottery’s Cedar Rapids regional office. “So, she checks it and she goes, ‘Ro, you won! $50,000!’”

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 20, 2023) — The Quad City Storm recorded its second straight victory Saturday with a six-to-one smackdown of the Evansville Thunderbolts in Evansville. Matt Ustaski opened the scoring for the Storm in the first period, netting his league-leading ninth goal of the season. Leif Mattson followed the first goal with a pair of tallies to make it three to zero before Cole Golka scored his first of the night to increase the lead to four.
