DUBUQUE, IOWA (March 31, 2023) — The Archway Reading and Lecture Series at the University of Dubuque will host a reading and discussion with author Barrett Swanson at 6:30PM, Thursday, April 13, 2023, in the Multicultural Student Center, Peter and Susan Smith Welcome Center, on campus.

The event is free and open to the public. It will include a brief Q&A with Swanson.

DES MOINES, IOWA (March 30, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced new grant awards that will directly support the critical-training opportunities necessary to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) in Iowa. The Entry-Level Driver Training Program will help Iowa meet its strong demand for truck-drivers and school bus-drivers by providing $2.94 million to support 46 different training programs across the state.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (March 30, 2023) — Coe College will host a re-entry simulation on Wednesday, April 12, 6-8PM, in Eby Fieldhouse on the Coe campus. This interactive simulation is free and open to the public, and provides a glimpse into the challenges those returning from incarceration face. A previous reentry simulation occurred last year in April.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 30, 2023) — The Quad City Storm embarks on the final road trip of the regular season this weekend. On Friday and Saturday, the ninth-place Storm takes on the eighth-place Fayetteville Marksmen. On Sunday, the trip continues in Macon, Georgia, when the Storm face off against the tenth-place Macon Mayhem.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (March 30, 2023) Monmouth College students will get to study US political campaigns next fall with two of the Midwest's political veterans.

Former US Representative Cheri Bustos will team up with Monmouth political science lecturer Robin Johnson to teach the College's "Campaign Methods" course.
