DES MOINES, IOWA (January 9, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced a second round of grant awards targeted at supporting child-care slots through meaningful business incentives. A total of $443,234 will be awarded through Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support five projects involving eleven participating businesses that will help create 77 new child-care slots.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 9, 2023) — Governor Reynolds has announced a new round of funding that will soon be open to support Summer Youth Internship opportunities across Iowa. A total of $379,000 will be available for Future Ready Iowa’s Summer Youth Internship Program grants, which support the creation of internship programs for Iowa’s youth between the ages of fourteen and 24 that help prepare them for high-demand careers in the workforce.

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA (January 9, 2023) — The Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council announces applications have opened for the STEM Scale-Up Program which provides educators and students throughout the state with access to exemplary STEM educational opportunities. These programs are some of the top in the nation and offer a diverse range of STEM activities to nearly 100,00 students each year. The application period for the STEM Scale-Up Program closes on February 28, 2023, 6PM.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (January 9, 2023) — Monmouth College's educational studies program has received a major boost in its efforts to prepare more teachers for rural communities.

The support comes in the form of a $750,000 federal grant, which US Representative Cheri Bustos of Illinois secured through the federal Community Project Funding program.
