DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 15, 2023) — The Alzheimer’s Association’s annual Memories in the Making event will be held on Friday, May 19, 5:30–9PM, at the Figge Art Museum (225 W 2nd St) in Davenport. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and go towards Alzheimer’s and dementia care, support, and research.

They have been disrespected, bullied, name-called, and physically attacked — all because of who they are as LGBTQ+ human beings. Many feel isolated and lonely and commit acts of self-harm. The rhetoric is amplified by targeted hate legislation that came out of Iowa this Spring, and by politicians currying votes in stoking fear of “the other,” who isn’t “like us.”

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 12, 2023) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird has announced new claims in her lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s illegal immigration-parole action. Those new claims challenge the Biden Administration’s attempt to use immigration parole to release illegal immigrants into the country while record numbers flood the southern border.
