DES MOINES, IOWA (August 16, 2022) — The Iowa Architectural Foundation (IAF) is pleased to announce that it has selected Laura Porter as its new Foundation Director. Porter will replace Claudia Cackler, who has led the foundation for the past six and a half years. Brian Crichton, who headed the search committee, stated, "We are so pleased to have found Laura Porter to take the reins of the Iowa Architectural Foundation.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (August 15, 2022) — Coe College has announced the addition of Donald Jaamal as the college’s Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Title IX Coordinator. Jaamal will serve as Coe’s lead diversity officer. He was appointed by Coe College President David Hayes (’93) after an extensive national search and will be a member of Coe’s senior staff.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 10, 2022) — The Young Emerging Writers (YEW) Summer Internship Program will host a release party for the latest issue of the Program’s literary magazine, The Atlas, on Thursday, August 18 at Rozz-Tox in Rock Island. JOHNSTON, IOWA (August 15, 2022) — The Iowa Public Broadcasting Board, the governing body for Iowa PBS, has announced the election of Courtney Maxwell Greene as the network's board president. The nine-member board also elected Angie Anderson as vice president. Greene has served on the board since 2013 and as board vice president since 2019. Anderson was appointed to the board in 2020. They were elected unanimously at the board's August 10 meeting and will serve one-year terms.
