DES MOINES, IOWA (December 12, 2022) — Attorney General Tom Miller and other attorneys-general have finalized agreements with CVS and Walgreens over their role in the opioids crisis, which will provide Iowa $70.3 million. Under today’s agreements, CVS will pay $5 billion, and Walgreens will pay $5.7 billion, totaling $10.7 billion nationally.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 12, 2022) Two commencement ceremonies for St Ambrose University graduates will take place Saturday, December 17, at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport.

The graduate and doctoral hooding ceremony for 90 students earning their Master’s and 41 students earning doctoral degrees will begin at 9AM and will include an address by Dr John Bowser, adjunct professor for the Master of Public Health Program.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 9, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate hosted a ceremony with members of the Legislature and the Iowa Firearms Coalition to commemorate the ratification of the 49th Amendment to the Constitution of the State of Iowa on Friday. The event was held in the Secretary of State’s Office in the Iowa Capitol building.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 9, 2022) — The Quad City Engineering and Science Council (QCESC) will hold a FIRST LEGO League robotics qualifying event on Saturday, December 10, at the Putnam Museum and Science Center in Davenport, Iowa. Approximately 150 students ages nine to fourteen from 31 teams built robots and prepared presentations to compete for awards and a chance to advance to next level competitions.
