MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (August 25, 2022) — Matt Moyer had what he called a "blue-collar upbringing" in Moline, Illinois.

Combining that background with an interest in art and "mechanical things" has led Moyer to produce creative work with "a decidedly industrial sensibility."

DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 24, 2022) — The Mississippi Valley Blues Society (MVBS) will once again present the annual Blues Fest, September 16-17 on the banks of the Mississippi in beautiful and historic LeClaire Park, Davenport, Iowa.

Following a successful 2021 Bluesfest, MVBS was able to build on this success to offer this year’s exciting lineup of traditional and contemporary award-winning Blues artists, such as Kevin Burt, Billy Branch, Vanessa Collier, and Bernard Allison.

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA (August 24, 2022) — Lauren Plumley of Geneseo, Illinois, is part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's 300-member Cornhusker Marching Band, which will make its 2022 début September 3 at Memorial Stadium with pregame and halftime performances at Nebraska's football home opener against North Dakota.

Plumley, a senior mechanical engineering major, plays clarinet.
