DES MOINES, IOWA (April 8, 2022) — Brittney Rock of Atalissa, IA has been named to the Dean's List for the Winter 2022 quarter at Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. To qualify for this academic recognition, students must attain a grade-point average (GPA) between 3.50 and 3.749, in their most recent semester, for a minimum of six credit hours.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 7, 2022) — Dislocated workers across Iowa now have access to a new career pathway in a high-demand field. IowaWORKS, in conjunction with JobWorks Education and Training Systems, are partnering to offer the TechWorks training program to create an accelerated pathway toward a career in information technology.

WAVERLY, IOWA (April 7, 2022) — Andrew Ellison has been accepted into the Wartburg College Teacher Education Program.

Ellison, of Moline, had to demonstrate effective reflective components in teaching and complete several other requirements to be considered for the program.

Admission to the Teacher Education Program allows students to begin professional education courses in their field.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 7, 2022) — Gilda’s Club Quad Cities, in partnership with The Greater Quad Cities Prostate Cancer Support Group, is scheduled to offer their second hybrid support group for April. A portion of each group will be a presentation with time to discuss afterward. This group is open to people with a current prostate-cancer diagnosis, survivors, significant others, spouses, caregivers, and care-partners.
