Introducing Scott Jones, New Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance at Knox College

GALESBURG, ILLINOIS (December 12, 2025) — Knox College has announced that Scott Jones will join the Knox community as chief financial officer and vice president for finance on February 3, 2026. Jones, an experienced higher education financial officer, comes to Knox from Union College in Schenectady, New York, where he has worked as vice president for administration and finance, serving as chief financial officer and chief operation officer, since 2021.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 11, 2025) — Iowa’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 3.7 percent in September. The state’s jobless rate was 3.3 percent one year ago. The US unemployment rate rose to 4.4 percent in September.
