Iowa Firefighters to be Honored Among the Fallen at National Memorial Service on October 3

EMMITSBURG, MARYLAND (September 29, 2021) — America’s fallen fire heroes, who died in the line of duty, will be honored at the 40th Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, October 2-3, 2021. The names of 215 firefighters will become a permanent part of the National Memorial in honor of their sacrifices.

Iowa Finance Authority Awards more than $13.2 Million in Federal Housing Tax Credits for the Construction of Nearly 700 Rental Homes

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 29, 2021) — The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors recently awarded a total of more than $13.2 million in federal housing tax credits to support the construction of 699 rental homes for Iowans. The eighteen rental housing projects are located in Boone, Cedar Rapids, Clinton, Council Bluffs, DeWitt, Grinnell, Johnston, Marion, Marshalltown, Shenandoah and West Des Moines.

CareSource Announces Plans to Bid to Serve Iowa's Medicaid Population

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 29, 2021) — CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit managed care organization, is announcing its intention to submit a proposal to serve Iowans covered by Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). In May, the Iowa Department of Human Services announced its intention to release a request for proposal (RFP) to procure managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide care through the Iowa Health Link Medicaid program.
