DES MOINES, IOWA (April 22, 2021) — Governor Kim Reynolds and 14 other governors issued a joint letter urging President Biden to be more proactive in working with states on environmental conservation in response to an overreaching January 27 executive order that restricted the jurisdiction of states.

The event gives student scholarship recipients the opportunity to personally thank and share dinner with donors who help make their Central education possible. DES MOINES, IOWA (April 22, 2021) — The number of initial unemployment claims in Iowa, filed between Sunday, April 11, and Saturday, April 17, was 7,255, an increase of 2,250 from last week’s adjusted numbers. There were 6,673 initial claims by individuals who work and live in Iowa, and 582 claims by individuals who work in Iowa and live in another state.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 21, 2021) — March 2021 was the Quad Cities International Airport’s busiest month since early 2020. Restored routes and additional spring break service gave the QC Airport a boost of nearly 12,000 passengers from the previous month. This improved traffic to a 46% decline over 2019, compared to the 56-60% decline that has been the norm for the past several months.
