MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (June 17, 2021) — Students looking for the farm experience but without traditional farmers' hours should take a hard look at joining Monmouth College's farm and garden crew.

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI (June 17, 2021) — Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean's list.

For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the spring semester and at least a 3.50 grade-point average (on a 4.00 scale).

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA (June 17, 2021) — Brooke Harris, of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, (52767) was named to the College of Charleston Spring 2021 President's List. Harris is majoring in Biology.

To qualify for President's List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 14 semester hours.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 17, 2021) — A judge has ruled that a Sergeant Bluff man must pay an $80,000 penalty — the maximum allowed by law — for burning thousands of railroad ties on his property, despite being warned by state regulators against doing so.
