Concordia University Wisconsin Releases Spring Honors List

MEQUON, WISCONSIN (August 3, 2020) — Concordia University Wisconsin officials have released the Spring Honors List for the 2019-2020 academic year. To be eligible for the honor, students must achieve a minimum 3.60 GPA and complete at least 12 undergraduate credits.Among the area students named to the list were:

Palmer College of Chiropractic Accepts Local Students for Enrollment

DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 3, 2020) — The following students were accepted for enrollment for the summer 2020 trimester in the Doctor of Chiropractic degree program at Palmer College of Chiropractic's Main campus in Davenport, Iowa.

Benjamin Amrein of Davenport, IA has been accepted for enrollment at Palmer College of Chiropactic.

Madison Barmore of Davenport, IA has been accepted for enrollment at Palmer College of Chiropactic.

Lt Gov Adam Gregg Again Selected to Leadership Role for The National Lieutenant Governors Association

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 30, 2020) — Effective today, Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg has been selected to again chair the Midwest Region on the National Lieutenant Governors Association’s (NLGA) Executive Committee, becoming one of four regional chairs of the association. He previously served on the NLGA Executive Committee from July 2018 to July 2019, and chair of the midwest region beginning July of 2019.

Family Museum Closed August 9-23, 2020

BETTENDORF, IOWA (July 30, 2020) — Due to a decrease in attendance and revenue since reopening in late May, The Family Museum will be closed and all staff will be furloughed August 9-23, 2020. This decision was made with guidance from the City of Bettendorf Administration and the City Finance Department. It is necessary to help ensure the future of the Museum’s programs and activities.

Gov Kim Reynolds to Hold Bi-Weekly Press Conferences Livestreamed through Iowa PBS

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 30, 2020) — Governor Kim Reynolds will return to regular bi-weekly press conferences to update Iowans on the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Similar to previous press conferences, they will be streamed live on broadcast and online feeds by Iowa PBS. There will also be an ASL sign-language interpreter as well as a Spanish-language translation.
