DES MOINES, IOWA (June 11, 2020) The number of initial claims in Iowa, filed between Sunday, May 31, and Saturday, June 6, was 10,112. There were 9,265 initial claims by individuals who work and live in Iowa, and 847 claims by individuals who work in Iowa and live in another state.  The number of continuing weekly unemployment claims for May 31-June 6 was 159,966, down 2,596 from the previous week.
