Lindsay Danielson of Bettendorf, Iowa, Inducted into Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society at Honors Convocation

WHEATON, ILLINOIS (June 8, 2020) — Wheaton College (Illinois) student Lindsay Danielson of Bettendorf, Iowa, was recently inducted into the Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society. This honor was announced at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation ceremony.

Sigma Tau Delta is the international English honor society, conferring distinction upon undergraduates for high achievement in their study of language, literature, and writing.

Revised Protocols for Reopening The QC Botanical Center 06/06

All guests are now REQUIRED to purchase same day tickets online to help the Botanical Center manage the number of guests in the gardens.

Local Residents Named to Bradley University's 2020 Spring Dean's List

EPA Reaches Settlement with Hydrite Chemical Co for Alleged Clean Air Act Violations

LENEXA, KANSAS (June 5, 2020) — The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has reached a settlement with Hydrite Chemical Co to resolve alleged violations of federal Clean Air Act chemical accident prevention regulations following an accidental chemical release that injured an employee. The accident occurred at a Hydrite Chemical Co chemical manufacturing and distribution facility in Waterloo, Iowa.

The Moline Foundation Announces New Program for 2020 Scholarship Recipients

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 5, 2020) — Due to the uncertainty of recognition for high-school graduating seniors this year, The Moline Foundation created additional opportunities to acknowledge 29 scholars who received funding for further education. Thirty-four funds through their donors contributed $52,700 this year to further the educational dreams of local students.
