FINDLAY, OHIO (January 24, 2020) — Bonita Despain, of Geneseo, Illinois, 61254, has enrolled at the University of Findlay for Spring 2020. New students began their studies at UF on January 6.

Despain is pursuing a degree in business management.

CLIVE, Iowa — A Bettendorf man has won a $50,000 lottery prize.

Donald Sullivan won the second top prize in the Iowa Lottery’s “5 Spot” scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Star, 2283 53rd Ave, in Bettendorf, and claimed his prize on Tuesday at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids.

WAVERLY, IOWA (January 24, 2020) — Eleven Wartburg College students were accepted into the Teacher Education Program.

Darcie Pilon, of East Moline.

Students must demonstrate effective reflective components in teaching, pass the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators exam and complete several other requirements to be considered for the program.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 24, 2020) — The filing process for Iowa businesses is better than ever thanks to the Fast Track Filing system launched by the Secretary of State’s Office. Iowa Secretary Paul Pate announced today that biennial report-filing is now available using the system. Businesses that are registered with the state are required to file reports every two years. Approximately 70,000 Iowa businesses will file biennial reports in 2020.
