NORTH LIBERTY, IOWA (May 21, 2025) — May is National Nurses Month, and it’s a chance to celebrate the nurses in an array of jobs. At Iowa Donor Network, nurses on the team help facilitate lifesaving organ transplants. They use their clinical background to make quick, heavily-informed decisions on donor potential and transplant matches.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 21, 2025) — Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) is on the verge of unveiling a major placemaking enhancement to the Emerson Place corridor featuring decorative lighting and permanent steel archways, knitting the neighborhood together and recognizing its historic roots as Motor Row and Bucktown.

Now, the final phase of the beautification is nearly complete with the installation of decorative steel archways and ambient string lighting.

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 20, 2025) — Governor Kim Reynolds has reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening Iowa’s child-care system by launching a new Statewide Solutions Fund, extending the successful Child Care Assistance pilot program that supports child-care workers, and introducing a Continuum of Care grant to encourage preschool and child care partnerships to provide a full day of care for 4-year-olds.

EVANSVILLE, INDIANA (May 20, 2025) — Students at the University of Evansville are named to the Dean's List every fall and spring semester. To merit the honor of being placed on the Dean's List, a student must have carried a full academic load of twelve hours or more and have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or above.
