Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack, along with 168 other Members of Congress, today called on President-elect Trump to rescind his appointment of Steve Bannon as White House Chief Strategist. A copy of the letter can be found here.

“I am deeply troubled by the appointment of Mr. Bannon to a senior position in the White House,” said Loebsack. “I believe that all White House staff must be committed to the core American values of inclusiveness, diversity and tolerance. Today, a total of 169 Members of Congress called on the President-elect to rescind this appointment immediately. Bigotry and hate-filled statements should have no place in our society, and no place in the White House.”
