WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (July 25, 2024) — The 21st annual Des Moines University (DMU) Medicine and Health Sciences Glanton Event will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at The Meadows Event Center in Altoona, Iowa. This year's presenting sponsor, Holmes Murphy, is a long-time supporter of the Glanton Event. MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (July 24, 2024) — Area residents will have an opportunity to relax at an outdoor summer evening band concert this Sunday, July 28, at Monmouth College's Wallace Hall Plaza.

The Monmouth Municipal Band and the widely acclaimed Nauvoo Pageant Bagpipe Band will come together to perform at 6:30PM at the Monmouth College Trubeck Amphitheater. The concert, which will last for about an hour, is free and open to the public.

ADELPHI, MARYLAND (July 24, 2024) — Jacqueline Langa Tangbobito of Davenport, Iowa earned a(n) Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from University of Maryland Global Campus in Spring 2024.

Tangbobito was one of more than 14,000 students worldwide who earned degrees from UMGC in the 2023-24. Graduates came from all fifty states, three US territories, and 24 countries.
