WORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS (May 26, 2023) — Emma Vanseveren, of Davenport, Iowa, received a bachelor of arts degree from College of the Holy Cross.

Vanseveren is among 762 Bachelor of Arts degree recipients Holy Cross celebrated at its 177th Commencement held in person on Friday, May 26, at the DCU Center in Worcester. US Senator Peter Welch of Vermont, a Class of 1969 alumnus, delivered this year's address to the Class of 2023 and received an honorary degree.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 25, 2023) — Augustana College admitted 29 women to the Brenda Barnes Leadership Academy, a series of leadership experiences and opportunities for networking to engage and uplift future female leaders.

This cohort is the inaugural class of women invited to the program. Participants, all first-year students who will enroll at Augustana this fall, were selected by a committee based on their application and essay.

The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) headquartered in Washington, D.C., reported savings of $15.2 million by the nation’s youth during the National Youth Savings Month of April.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 24, 2023) — Together with the City of Rock Island, Augustana College has broken ground on a tennis complex at Lincoln Park Wednesday, May 23. College and city administrators dug in with ceremonial shovels to kick off the project that is slated to open for college and community in the fall of 2023.

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA (May 23, 2023) — Madison Temple of Bettendorf, Iowa, recently was awarded a Study Abroad Grant worth $1,000 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi — the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
