MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (December 5, 2022) — Monmouth College has received a major national grant to help make higher education more inclusive.

The $470,666 grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute will be used to help create a seamless transfer pathway for Illinois Central College students from underrepresented backgrounds who want to earn a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and science at Monmouth.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (December 1, 2022) — More than forty future students in the UI's College of Pharmacy recently completed the Healthcare Business Leadership (HBL) program.

The leadership program teaches students how to understand and make effective business decisions regarding teamwork, finance, conflict management, entrepreneurship, and how to leverage health-care data to improve outcomes and decision-making.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 30, 2022) — The St Ambrose University (SAU) music department invites the Quad Cities community to welcome the holiday season at “An Ambrosian Christmas Concert” on Saturday, December 10. This well-known holiday tradition will feature a wide variety of musical performances by the talented SAU chamber singers, jazz band, STAMVOJA, symphonic band, university chorale, and student soloists.

A small but devoted group of Monmouth College students is closely following the event through the course "Anthropology of Soccer," taught by longtime faculty member Petra Kuppinger.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 21, 2022) — The Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) presented the 2021-22 Annual Board Awards on November 17 during the IASB Annual Convention in Des Moines. The awards are given each year to board members, board teams, and superintendents/AEA chief administrators who dedicate time and effort to learning, advocacy, leadership, and service projects to expand their knowledge and skills for better governance.

FAYETTE, IOWA (November 21, 2022) — The Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery at Upper Iowa University (UIU)’s Fayette Campus has opened a new exhibition featuring the works of artist Zhongkai Li. The solo exhibition, titled "Zhongkai Li: Drifting Fragments", is open from November 14 to December 16, 2022.
