DES MOINES, IOWA (December 1, 2021) — If your family will have a new college freshman next year, this is a great time to look for scholarships that will help offset the cost of an education. Scholarships are considered "gift aid," meaning that they do not need to be repaid later. Some are one-time awards that can be used while a family's college savings continues to grow; others are renewable as long as the student remains eligible.

FAYETTE, IOWA (November 22, 2021) — Active military personnel wishing to pursue a master's degree at Upper Iowa University (UIU) will soon benefit from a $250 per credit-hour tuition-rate. The new course rate for graduate students begins with Session 3 courses January 10. UIU undergraduates, who are active in the military, continue to also receive a $250 per credit hour rate.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (November 19, 2021) — Veteran music educator John Eckstine has been named director of the Monmouth College athletic bands.

Eckstine brings more than three decades of experience and awards to the position, most recently serving as athletic director/dean of students at Pendleton County Middle/High School in Franklin, West Virginia.
