MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (November 30, 2021) — Emeritus professor of English Gary Willhardt slipped into the "Realms of Light" on November 27. He was 84 at the time of his death in Clarksville, Iowa.
In addition to teaching English at Monmouth for 33 years, Willhardt was a 1959 Monmouth graduate.

FAYETTE, IOWA (November 22, 2021) — Active military personnel wishing to pursue a master's degree at Upper Iowa University (UIU) will soon benefit from a $250 per credit-hour tuition-rate. The new course rate for graduate students begins with Session 3 courses January 10. UIU undergraduates, who are active in the military, continue to also receive a $250 per credit hour rate.
FAYETTE, IOWA (November 22, 2021) — One year after unveiling its Military Family Grant to benefit undergraduates of the entire military family, Upper Iowa University (UIU) has extended the tuition assistance to graduate students.
MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (November 19, 2021) — Veteran music educator John Eckstine has been named director of the Monmouth College athletic bands.
Eckstine brings more than three decades of experience and awards to the position, most recently serving as athletic director/dean of students at Pendleton County Middle/High School in Franklin, West Virginia.
