MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (April 30, 2021) — Four students have received the top awards of the 2020-21 academic year at Monmouth College.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (April 29, 2021) Monmouth College's newest major draws from two of its strongest academic programs — art and educational studies.

Monmouth's art-education major, which begins in the 2021-22 school year, will prepare students to teach art in schools from the pre-kindergarten through high-school levels.

PELLA, IOWA (April 29, 2021) — 62 Central College students will perform in the A Cappella Choir concert at 3PM, Sunday, May 2, in Douwstra Auditorium on Hoekstra Family stage.

PELLA, IOWA (04/28/2021) — Rachel Daniels of Geneseo, Illinois, was one of 22 Central College students who had their work published in the college's annual Writing Anthology, a collection of exceptional student work from across the liberal-arts curriculum. This was the 41st year for the Writing Anthology, which has been continuously published at Central since 1981.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (April 28, 2021) — Best Picture, Best Actress, and the subject of a recent interview by Monmouth College political science lecturer Robin Johnson.

AMES, IOWA (April 28, 2021) — Valentine Chenus of Davenport, Iowa, volunteered as a member of the Earth Day Planning Committee, the group responsible for the planning and implementation of a variety of tasks required for the Earth Day event, including publicity and logistics. Event attendees engaged in Earth Day pledges, clothing donations, free bike tune-ups, and learned about University and community organizations committed to sustainability.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 27, 2021) — Augustana College has been awarded $34,966 to plan a new minor in integrative medicine and the humanities, as well as a new internship program with UnityPoint Health.

The one-year planning grant comes from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

AMES, IOWA (April 26, 2021) — McKenzie Davison of Geneseo, Illinois, has completed her one-year term as Marketing and Communications Intern for Iowa State University's Office of Sustainability. McKenzie was part of a two-member team responsible for creating six uniquely-themed newsletters each academic year focused on educating about and engaging and empowering students, faculty, and staff in ISU's Live Green!

FAYETTE, IOWA (April 23, 2021) — Approximately 450 students will be recognized for earning their respective degrees during Upper Iowa University's (UIU) in-person commencement ceremonies at Harms-Eischeid Stadium in Fayette, Iowa, Saturday, May 8. UIU is making a number of modifications to its traditional in-person commencement to create a safer and healthier environment for its graduates and guests.
