PELLA, IOWA (April 22, 2021) — Clayton Hunn of Muscatine, Iowa, is one of four students who will perform in Percussion Ensemble during the Percussion Extravaganza at 7:30PM, Saturday, April 24, on Hoekstra Family Stage in Douwstra Auditorium. The Percussion Extravaganza also will include performances by Flying Pans Steel Band and Dutch Boom (both in which Hunn will also participate).

The event gives student scholarship recipients the opportunity to personally thank and share dinner with donors who help make their Central education possible. BETTENDORF, IOWA (April 20, 2021) — Leigh Ann Schroeder, a teacher at Rivermont Collegiate in Bettendorf, Iowa, was nominated for the Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year award in the senior division of the National History Day (NHD) National Contest. AMES, IOWA (April 19, 2021) — Olivia Adams-Moulton, of Bettendorf, Iowa, majoring in World Languages and Cultures, was awarded the Alfred P Kehlenbeck Scholarship by the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Iowa State University at its virtual 2021 Awards Ceremony.
