WEST BURLINGTON, IOWA (February 20, 2019) — The Southeastern Community College Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for students who plan to attend SCC in the fall of 2019. The deadline to apply is 4:30PM, March 1.

The Foundation has more than 500 scholarships totaling an estimated $400,000 available to students for the upcoming school year.

PRESS RELEASE (February 20, 2019) — University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh officials have announced students who qualified for the University Dean's List and Honor Roll in Fall 2018 across all three campuses (Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, and Fox Valley). To qualify for the honor roll on the UW Oshkosh campus, a student must take at least 12 credits and earn a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.3 (out of a possible 4.0). Those with a GPA of 3.75 or better qualify for the Dean's List.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (February 19, 2019) - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announces its Chancellor's List, honoring those full-time students who earned the very highest academic honors in the fall 2018 semester. Students must maintain a perfect 4.00 grade-point average to earn the Chancellor's List distinction.

DES MOINES, IOWA (February 19, 2019) — Today, Governor Kim Reynolds signed HF 306 and HF 307, historic pre-K-12 education funding at the Iowa State Capitol surrounded by education advocates and students from North Polk Community Schools. HF 306 and HF 307 were the first bills Gov Reynolds signed this year.

DES MOINES, IOWA (February 19, 2019) — Key legislative leaders agreed on and Governor Kim Reynolds signed into law today an education funding package that includes setting a supplemental state aid rate for FY 2020 and additional money to address transportation and cost per pupil inequities-a total investment of $90 million.

PLATTEVILLE, WISCONSIN (February 19, 2019) — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville celebrated its 201st commencement ceremonies December 15 in Williams Fieldhouse, and the ceremonies featured local students. UW-Platteville, founded in 1866, has been named the best in Wisconsin for annual return on investment for the fourth consecutive year by Payscale and the best in the state (and seventh nationally) for employment by Zippia, the Career Expert.

FINDLAY, OHIO (February 18, 2019) — Anna Suhl of Eldridge, was named to the Fall 2018 Dean's List at the University of Findlay. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
