MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (September 23, 2024) — Monmouth College has been awarded a $300,000 grant from the National Institute for Health to strengthen student mental health and well-being.

"This grant marks a significant investment in Monmouth students because it empowers our college to continue to be a place that fosters a healthy, resilient caring community of learners," said Monmouth President Patricia H Draves.

UNIVERSITY, MISSISSIPPI (September 23, 2024) — Olivia McDermott, of Eldridge, IA, is among the more than 900 students who graduated from the University of Mississippi in August 2024.

McDermott, who majored in Psychology, received a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Liberal Arts.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (September 18, 2024) — An award-winning history professor from Rutgers University will help Monmouth College kick off a series of events funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Earlier this year, Monmouth College received a $149,965 grant from the NEH to fund a three-year history project about west central Illinois, titled "Resituating the Humanities in Place-Based Learning."

DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 18, 2024) — St Ambrose University is excited to announce its participation in Common App’s Direct Admissions program for 2024-2025. St Ambrose, located in Davenport, Iowa, is the first higher education institution in the state to join the innovative nationwide program. WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (September 18, 2024) — Robert Gallagher, from Bettendorf, Iowa, was one of the 31 students from the Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program, class of 2025, inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. The induction ceremony, held on June 4, 2024, also featured a keynote address by retiring faculty member, Paul Volker MD, who was also inducted into the society.
