SCC's 50th Anniversary Time Capsule Buried

On Wednesday May 17th, Scott Community College finalized the burial of their 50th Anniversary time capsule on the Belmont Campus.  Scott Community College celebrated their 50th Anniversary throughout the year in 2016 with events and activities, including the collection of items representing the college through the decades (inventory list attached) that were placed in a time capsule designed and fabricated by faculty and students from the college's Blong Technology Center.  The time capsule was m

Trinity College Celebrates with 2017 Spring and Summer Graduates

DEERFIELD, Ill. (May 15, 2017) - The following students graduated from Trinity College following the spring semester. Students are listed below by hometown and degree received. Trinity College offers more than 70 programs of study from its Deerfield campus, including online options. Scott Community College (SCC) hosted their 2017-2018  Commencement Ceremony on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the iWireless Center – Downtown Moline. They recognized, celebrated, and honored 836 graduates*.  The Student Commencement Speaker was Dakota (Cody) McKune.

Morningside College awards degrees to spring graduates

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (May 15, 2017) - Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, presented degrees to undergraduate students during its 119th spring commencement held on May 13. Among the graduates was  Alexandria J. Fairbanks, of Davenport, Iowa, who received her Bachelor of Arts degree while majoring in political science, business administration.

Iowa State University students receive awards at Entrepreneurship Showcase competition

AMES, IA (05/15/2017)-- The excellence of students' business ideas and proposals was recognized with awards April 27, 2017, at the Entrepreneurship Showcase hosted by the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences.

Madison Davis of Davenport, IA (52807), was recognized with runner-up in the Most Sustainable Business Proposal for her and her team's "Beckham's" business proposal. Davis worked alongside Allison Hockensmith and Kayla Finn to develop their business proposal.

Iowa State National Agri-Marketing Association Receives Signature Award

AMES, IA (05/12/2017)-- The Iowa State University National Agri-Marketing Association (ISU NAMA) received the 4th place John Deere Signature Award. This award is based on a points system from work through an entire year. The chapter receives points for the chapter membership and participation, projects and activities, application and receipt of scholarships, participation in the student marketing competition, and receipt of other national awards.
