Gov. Rauner's statement after House vote

SPRINGFIELD (Aug. 28, 2017) – Gov. Rauner issued the following statement after the House vote:​

"Today, members of the Illinois House of Representatives voted to bring historic education reform to Illinois children and their families. I want to thank Speaker Madigan, Leader Durkin and their staff members for finding common ground that will reverse the inequities of our current school funding system.

Gov. Reynolds kicks off Start of School tour

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds kicked off her Start of School tour Tuesday morning at Edmunds Fine Arts Academy in Des Moines. The governor and Iowa Department of Education Director Ryan Wise will stop in the Emmetsburg Community School District Tuesday afternoon. Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg will join the tour Wednesday for stops in the Forest City, Central Springs and Garner-Hayfield-Ventura community school districts.
