CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (04/03/2017)-- Noel Huntley of Rock Island, IL, has received the Regents' Scholarship and Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Huntley is the daughter of Dale Huntley Sr. and Dr. Lynn Garvin-Huntley, and will be a 2017 graduate of Alleman Catholic High School.

DAVENPORT — This coming summer, high school-aged students can participate in educational camps and instructional workshops at St. Ambrose University.

Summer offerings for 2017 will include a Mock Trial Camp, June 7-8; a Human Body Workshop and a Model United Nations Camp, both on June 19-20; and a Piano Camp, June 26-30.

Expanding education for Illinois students to combat hate one prong of Governor’s anti-hate crimes initiative

SPRINGFIELD – Governor Bruce Rauner announced today the State of Illinois will work with the Simon Wiesenthal Center to expand anti-hate education to Illinois students. This is part of Governor Rauner’s efforts to combat anti-Semitism and other hate crimes in Illinois.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack announced today that his office is now accepting applications for nomination to the U.S. Service Academies for the 2018 freshman class. Each year, Congressman Loebsack may nominate up to five Iowans for each Academy, with the final selection for admission made by the individual Academy. Applications are due to Loebsack’s office no later than October 31st, 2017. 

JOHNSTON, Iowa (March 24, 2017) - Iowa Corn announced today the sixteen students who will be the recipients of the Iowa Corn Future of Agriculture Scholarship program for the 2017-2018 school year. This program awards eight $500 first-year scholarships and eight $500 upperclassman scholarships to individuals who are pursuing degrees that will equip them to contribute to the agriculture industry in Iowa.
