Federal Homelessness Assistance Funding to Benefit Iowans in Need

Grants Will Also Support Opioid Treatment in Rural Communities

HUGO, Colo., Jan. 19, 2018 – Assistant to the Secretary for Rural Development Anne Hazlett today announced that USDA is investing in e-connectivity which will provide virtual access to job training, educational, and health care opportunities for rural communities.

Today, Jim Bickford, Davenport Interim Fire Chief, is pleased to announce that Capt. Jim Morris has been promoted to Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal.   Morris has served as Interim Fire Marshal since October 2017 following the unexpected death of Fire Marshal Mike Hayman.  

The work being performed is the first phase of the Duck Creek South Interceptor Rehabilitation Project and includes cleaning and inspecting the sewer main located along the south side of Duck Creek. The contractor will be using the bike path for access, but the path should remain open for use during this phase.

The first is the State of the City.  It is scheduled for Monday, February 5 at the Rhythm City Casino.  Mayor Klipsch will speak about economic development accomplishments, the city's improved financial footing, partnerships and the future of the riverfront at this annual event.

Police Department front desk and records office will be closed. Library Main, Fairmount and Eastern branches will be closed. River’s Edge facility will be open. Vander Veer Conservatory will be closed. Adler Theatre box office will be closed. CitiBus will operate weekday service as usual.
