Flags to fly at Half-Staff from Sunrise, Feb. 15 until Sunset Feb. 18.

SPRINGFIELD (Feb. 14, 2018) — Gov. Bruce Rauner has directed all entities governed by the Illinois Flag Display Act to fly both the United States and Illinois state flags at half-staff in remembrance of Chicago Police Commander Paul R. Bauer.

Please be aware all vehicles parked on Posted Snow Routes in the Downtown and Hilltop will be ticketed and towed if left in a snow route during this time. All three parking ramps will be available for FREE during this time.

SPRINGFIELD (Feb. 6, 2018) — A new Quincy Veterans’ Home Water Management Task Force will meet next week to review a plumbing assessment report that were released today, Gov. Bruce Rauner said.

The governor created the task force after living at the home for a week in January.

WASHINGTON – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that it is seeking applicants for the Youth Preparedness Council, which brings together teens from across the country who are interested and engaged in community preparedness. Council members are selected based on their dedication to public service, their efforts in making a difference in their communities, and their potential to expand their impact as national leaders for preparedness.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack will have a member of his staff in Clinton and Scott Counties for open office hours. Jared Mullendore, Loebsack’s District Representative, will be at the following locations. Mullendore will be on hand to work with individuals who are having difficulty with a government agency, have suggestions for Dave, or would just like to share their concerns. Members of the public are invited to attend.

WASHINGTON – In their continued efforts to secure the previously authorized funding for the Cedar Rapids flood mitigation project, U.S. Sens. Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst and Congressman Rod Blum sent a letter to Lieutenant General of the Army Corps of Engineers Todd Semonite and Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works R.D. James requesting further information on how the Army Corps makes certain project funding decisions.
