Quad Cities Flood Resiliency Alliance to Reconvene November 21

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 18, 2019) — The next meeting of the Quad Cities Flood Resiliency Alliance will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 1:30PM in the City Hall Community Room in Riverdale, Iowa. The Alliance is open to the public and is a forum for timely and educational information on flood prevention, mitigation, flood insurance, and floodplain management. Scott County Board Announces Angela Kersten’s Appointment as County Engineer

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 14, 2019) — Tony Knobbe, Scott County Board Chair announced the appointment of Angela Kersten as Scott County Engineer. The Board formally approved her appointment at their meeting on November 14 at 5PM. Kersten’s official start date will be January 1, 2020. Knobbe indicated the Board members were pleased they were able to appoint an internal candidate with a great level of experience and qualifications.

City of Davenport Holiday Observance of Veterans Day

DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 28, 2019) — City of Davenport will observe Veterans Day as a holiday on Monday, November 11, 2019.

All City of Davenport offices and the Public Works Center will be closed.

Police Department front desk and records office will be closed.

Library Main, Fairmount and Eastern branches will be closed.

Parks and Recreation administrative offices will be closed.

Rivers Edge will be open with normal business hours.

Quad City Federation of Labor Endorsements for Muscatine General Election

Four Days Remain for Local Governments, Nonprofits, Houses of Worship to Apply for Federal Public Assistance

SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS (October 15, 2019) — The Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) is reminding local governments, taxing-bodies, non-profits, and houses of worship that the deadline to apply for federal public assistance is October 19. Because October 19 is a Saturday, IEMA is encouraging applicants to complete the process by Friday, October 18. To apply for assistance, each organization must complete and submit a

Scott County Installs Wheelchair Charging Stations
